After completing a degree in Agriculture with Animal Science, John worked at home on the family farm for a couple of years. He then joined Genus Management (latterly Promar) in Devon as a trainee consultant before moving up to County Durham. John was a member of the National Dairy team and in charge of new consultant training whilst consulting in West Wales. John’s specialisms and interests are dairy management and finances, most notably dairy cow nutrition, forage production and farm business budgeting. He has 10 years experience of consulting and won the consultant of the year award whilst at Promar. He is now a director of CARA Ltd. John is also fully FACTS qualified,   meaning he is able to give fertiliser advice on farm, as well as a full member of the British Institute of Agricultural Consultants.
